Cloaking Fate Blurb Reveal!
And other random updates.

For me, entering 2025 felt similar to how a pond trout might feel narrowly escaping the talons of a diving raptor.
Okay, maybe not quite so dramatic (my husband, Mike, captured that video at our local park. Cool, huh? The boys were awed!). And, unlike me, this trout—no idea what kind of fish it actually was—didn’t make it. 😬
Anyway, I succumbed to whatever horrid respiratory virus is currently circulating, and listening to fireworks and mortar shells explode outside my bedroom window on New Year’s Eve was a special kind of torture. Plans were canceled, Mike was forced to listen to my nightly death rattle, and I burned through all of my treasured PTO. I’m better now, but I’ve got a lingering—and rather annoying—cough. Three weeks later, I might add, which is simply ridiculous.
Despite these ailments, exciting developments have been underway. I am officially DONE with edits on Cloaking Fate. *Key celebratory music* My editor, Emma, whose patience never wanes, has finally released me from her tender care. I am working on one final proof, and then this not-so-little gem will finally be ready to release into the wild! As such, I’m beyond excited to share the official blurb with you! (Yes, it’s actually called a blurb. I’ve been inaccurately calling it a synopsis my entire life. Who knew)?
Without further ado:
